Long game…. I ordered 2021 F-150 back in December and then not long after, our chip shortage put the metaphorical brakes on all truck deliveries. It took six months for my chip number to be called but luckily, I had a great salesperson (Caleb) to keep me in the loop when status was updated. When the time finally came to pick up the truck, I think he have been more excited than I was (probably that he wouldn’t have to hear from me anymore). Probably one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve had in 30+ years of buying cars. The GM came out out to chat with us as we waited for the truck to be detailed and was extremely friendly and humble. The finance department was equally pleasant and the entire process took only a couple hours, most of which was getting the car detailed and going through the numerous vehicle features. I will definitely be looking to purchase the Lightning from Mossy once it comes out and I recommend anyone looking to buy a Ford go down to Mossy.
